Introduction
After more than a decade of transformational leadership, Steve Simon stepped down as President & CEO of the WTA, marking a pivotal moment for one of the most globally recognized organizations in sport.
Challenge

As the women’s game continued to grow in scale, influence, and commercial opportunity, the WTA required a next-generation leader capable of sustaining momentum while remaining deeply anchored to the Tour’s founding mission: to enhance, support, and grow women’s tennis worldwide. The WTA faced the complex task of identifying a successor who could balance commercial acceleration with purpose-driven leadership. The ideal candidate needed to build upon the success of WTA Ventures, navigate a highly political global sports landscape, and lead a diverse, international stakeholder ecosystem.
Solution
Elevate identified a candidate with the credibility, vision, and impact required to guide the WTA into its next era—strengthening the organization commercially while remaining steadfastly committed to advancing the women’s game.
