Elevate Appoints Craig Borthwick as Senior Director, Creative MENA

Elevate has appointed Craig Borthwick as Senior Director, Creative MENA, where he will lead the agency’s creative operations in the region as part of its global studio.

Borthwick announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he would lead Elevate Creative MENA, which is focused on developing creative work across sport, entertainment and arts and culture.

The appointment comes shortly after Borthwick ended a 14-year career with LIGHTBLUE. During his tenure, he was part of the agency’s growth across Dubai, Riyadh and London, with the agency securing multiple industry awards and Agency of the Year recognition.

Borthwick brings around two decades of experience across creative, marketing and brand experience, according to his professional profile. His background includes agency leadership and work spanning brand experiences, events and marketing.

At Elevate, Borthwick will lead the MENA creative operation within the agency’s global studio. Elevate is a global sports and entertainment agency founded in 2018, with its business now extending beyond sport into entertainment, culture, attractions, culinary and hotels. The agency says it works with more than 1,000 clients globally.

The appointment adds senior creative leadership to Elevate’s MENA operation as the agency expands its work across sports, entertainment and culture in the region.

Borthwick said the new role would see him lead Elevate Creative MENA as part of the agency’s global studio “built to design the moments that matter”.
