In 2023, the ACC partnered with Elevate to optimize business operations and enhance the fan experience for the ACC Basketball Tournament. The conference sought to leverage data-driven strategies to maximize revenue, improve ticket accessibility, and provide a more engaging tournament environment for fans.
Challenge
The ACC faced the need to balance revenue growth with equitable fan access across all participating schools while managing secondary market inventory and ticket allocations.
Solution
Elevate implemented a comprehensive ticketing and revenue strategy that drove both fan satisfaction and revenue growth. The team created additional price points, allowing fans to select the experience that best fit their preferences while boosting overall sales. They adjusted the seating layout to ensure every school could offer fans equal access at each tournament, improving the overall fan experience. An efficient inventory return system was designed to seamlessly return tickets to other sales channels, enhancing attendance and revenue. Additionally, new premium and courtside seating options were established, providing fans with an elevated experience and generating fresh revenue opportunities for the ACC.
