Introduction
FC Barcelona engaged Elevate to conduct a feasibility study for the Palau Blaugrana and explore opportunities for a potential new arena complex. The project focused on identifying long-term revenue opportunities while expanding both local and global fan engagement across the club’s campus.
Challenge
The club sought to evaluate its future business state, including monetization potential across ticketing, sponsorship, retail, and F&B. The challenge was to understand how to optimize the current venue, benchmark against peer arenas globally, and anticipate emerging trends in sports and entertainment to guide strategic decisions on product mix, pricing, and venue enhancements.
Solution
Elevate assessed peer and comparable venues worldwide, benchmarking current performance to inform recommendations. The team identified future product opportunities and developed initial financial forecasts across all seating areas. Demand and revenue projections were used to optimize sponsorship, ticketing, and ancillary event-day income, providing FC Barcelona with a data-driven roadmap to maximize revenue and enhance fan engagement in both existing and future arenas.
