Challenge
The ITF were looking for a visionary, charismatic & highly influential CEO who could, develop and implement the ITF’s future strategy against the backdrop of a complex tennis ecosystem. A figurehead who could inspire, motivate and energise the organisation was imperative as well as someone who commanded respect within the sport.
Solution
Elevate conducted a global search, looking at candidates from a broad range of sectors, including but not limited to sport, media & entertainment. Given the complex nature of the Tennis ecosystem, Remco decided that the shortlist would need to comprise senior executives who had successfully operated within the world of sport. After an extremely competitive process, Ross Hutchins was identified as the ITF’s new CEO. A former professional tennis player, Ross had spent the previous 11 years at the ATP climbing the ranks at a rapid rate before reaching the role of Chief Sporting Officer. His intimate knowledge of the tennis industry combined with his inspirational leadership and stakeholder management skills made Ross the stand out candidate for the role.
