Sands Digital Services partnered with Elevate to strengthen its legal leadership as it built a new live dealer B2B business in Europe. With ambitious growth plans, the company required a General Counsel who could navigate complex regulatory environments, provide strategic legal guidance, and support the development of a scalable, compliant business framework.

The role demanded a legal leader capable of managing existing legal work while providing top-class support for new deals. Sands Digital Services needed someone who could establish a robust commercial and legal framework to enable growth, maintain seamless operations, and build strong relationships with the Corporate HQ in Las Vegas. The General Counsel was critical to ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in a highly regulated and evolving industry.

This search resulted in the appointment of Verity Young, whose background as Chief Legal Officer and Group General Counsel at 888 Holdings Plc—and senior roles at William Hill, Ladbrokes Coral, and DLA Piper UK—made her the ideal candidate. With Elevate’s support, Verity joined Sands Digital Services as General Counsel, providing strategic legal guidance, managing regulatory compliance, and enabling the company’s European expansion.
