Cedar Rapids Baseball Club

The Cedar Rapids Baseball Club (owners of the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Waterloo Bucks) conducted a nationwide search for a new Chief Executive Officer. Elevate was engaged to help identify a leader who could guide the organization through a generational transition.

With long-time CEO Doug Nelson retiring after more than 20 years in the role, the organization needed a successor who could maintain stability and uphold community ties—but also bring fresh ideas and professional baseball leadership.

Elevate supported the search for candidates with robust industry backgrounds, ultimately contributing to the appointment of Steve Brice, who previously served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
