Introduction
The ECB initiated a succession planning & future readiness project to include the 11 members of the Executive Leadership Team with two key objectives: Potential for CEO succession & Assessment of capabilities and career aspirations. A key component of this exercise was sensitive communication with the LT members, ensuring they understood the positive benefits of this exercise for both themselves and the organization. This was particularly important at a critical time in the strategic cycle.
