Introduction
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) engaged Elevate to support a succession planning and future readiness initiative for its Executive Leadership Team. The project focused on preparing the organization for long-term leadership transitions while maximizing the potential of its current executives.
Challenge
The ECB sought to evaluate the Executive Leadership Team to understand both individual and collective capabilities, as well as potential for future CEO succession. A critical aspect of the initiative was communicating the exercise positively and sensitively, ensuring team members recognized the benefits for both personal development and organizational success during a key phase of the strategic cycle.
Solution
Elevate conducted a full assessment of the leadership team, analyzing current capabilities against future role requirements and strategic objectives. Each individual received an independent and objective overview of their strengths, development areas, and career aspirations. The project also evaluated team dynamics, enabling the ECB to make informed decisions about leadership development, succession planning, and future readiness.
