The organization needed a leader to elevate its technology capability by establishing a world-class enterprise architecture and engineering function. The role demanded the ability to translate board-level strategies into actionable roadmaps while actively driving the migration away from restrictive legacy systems.

The HKJC appointed Gareth Tranter, a recognized technical authority with extensive experience in betting and gambling applications, including trading systems, data, and security. Gareth was selected for his ability to lead high-level technical experts and his skill in translating complex technical topics into clear language for executive decision-making.
