Brentford Football Club recently secured additional minority investment from British businessman Gary Lubner and filmmaker Sir Matthew Vaughn. This funding was aimed at supporting football development and expanding the club’s reach both domestically and internationally.

With the club’s current COO set to leave in early 2026, Brentford created a new role to maximize the commercial and growth opportunities presented by the new investment. The objective was to identify a leader who could craft a roadmap for international growth, brand development, and broader strategic initiatives—while thriving in Brentford’s fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

Elevate conducted a global search, evaluating candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. Recognizing the importance of culture fit, the search focused intensely on candidates’ style and approach, ensuring they could succeed in Brentford’s collegiate and ambitious environment. Amidst an extremely competitive process, Hannah Brown was appointed as the new Growth Strategy Director.
