Cricket Australia was seeking a leader who could unify performance services across international men’s, women’s and pathway programs, modernise high-performance systems, and bring contemporary thinking to athlete wellbeing, sports science, medicine and performance integration.

The challenge was compounded by a highly competitive global market for elite performance talent, alongside the need for deep cultural alignment with Cricket Australia’s values and long-term strategic vision.

Elevate Talent designed and delivered a targeted, evidence-based executive search process, leveraging deep expertise across high-performance sport, global talent mapping, and leadership assessment. Working closely with Cricket Australia’s leadership team, People & Culture, and external stakeholders in the cricket ecosystem, Elevate aligned the success criteria to CA’s high-performance strategy, and conducted a comprehensive global market identification across elite sport. The process culminated in the appointment of Miranda Menaspa, a globally respected high-performance leader with a proven track record across Olympic and professional sport, recognised for her systems thinking, athlete-centred leadership, and ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams.
